Dr. Mike Turnwald earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017, and has since completed specialty training in Sports Physical Therapy at Ohio State and a travelling fellowship through the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy. He is adjunct faculty at Tufts University College of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh, and Columbus State Community College. He has worked with Major League Baseball, the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Broadway productions.

Dr. Mike was born and raised in Kalida, OH.  He is clinically certified in the use of Diagnostic Ultrasound imaging for musculoskeletal and sports/orthopedic injuries, as well as certified in Dry Needling. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist having worked with the strength training programs at Ohio State and the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Departments. Dr. Mike has lectured physical therapists on managing chronic pain and concussion and emergency medicine.  He has a special interest in treating firefighters and police officers, along with the everyday athlete working to achieve their goals.

At home, Mike and his wife, Sue, love spending time with their two boys and their dogs, Tucker and Sadie.
